FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Newport Beach, CA, August 2017 – Twenty Four Seven Hotels (www.247hotels.com), renowned leaders in hotel management, investment and development, announce the appointment of Jonathan Kubo as vice president of people resources. The newly-appointed Kubo brings 25 years of hospitality experience to the company.

Kubo has a strong background in hotel management human resources, working with properties throughout the United States. After graduating from Michigan State University with a bachelor’s degree in business, Kubo went on to hold prestigious positions with notable brands, including his most recent post as senior director of global human resources at Oakwood Worldwide, where he received the President’s Award for outstanding service. Prior to that, he was a director of corporate recruiting and relocation services for Interstate Hotels & Resorts, where he gained deep-seeded multi-brand, franchise experience. During his illustrious career, Kubo has also served as HR director for a Marriott resort property in Vail and the 1500-room San Francisco Marriott Marquis.

Officially joining the Twenty Four Seven Hotel brand this month, with its portfolio of 19 hotels throughout the Western U.S.—along with six additional contracted hotels under construction—Kubo will provide strategic direction and leadership, which includes overseeing all aspects of the company’s HR policies and procedures, both at the corporate office and in the field.

“Jonathan brings vital experience and practical expertise in the human resources industry to Twenty Four Seven Hotels. His new leadership position within the company will be instrumental in supporting our vision of an inspired and committed culture as well as day-to-day HR functions,” says David Wani, Twenty Four Seven’s chief executive officer.

Along with corporate staff, he will lead communication with property management and associates regarding all HR-related matters, including, but not limited to, training corporate and hotel leadership, recruitment, development, workforce planning, labor relations, legal compliance, assisting in property investigations and facilitating resolutions. In his pivotal role, Kubo will also spearhead talent acquisition for the rapidly expanding brand, which currently has just over 600 employees.

“The key aspect of this opportunity for me is to be working for a company that is investing in the fundamental HR practices and cultural goals as well as the people behind it,” said Jonathan Kubo. “I see my role as building upon these critical initiatives that have been in development by the executive team since the re-brand last year.”

Kubo will manage his department of three team members while working with corporate and property-level leadership to enhance company culture and ensure approachable and timely counsel relative to professional performance including benefits, bonuses and incentive programs.

Always forward-thinking, Twenty Four Seven Hotels has invested in a mobile app, which acts as a real-time tech resource, ensuring Kubo and other team members can remain connected—not only keeping lines of communication open—but ensuring ongoing engagement and transparency.
